I AM AN ARAB PIZZA is an artistic meditation and performance, compounding the pain and confusion I have experienced as a result of a rise in condemnation of Palestinian existence. The project draws on my positive memories of Middle Eastern cuisine in contrast with a sense of self-contempt growing up Arab in post-9/11 Staten Island. Through the creation of this zine, I am re-experiencing an ambivalent mix of emotions and sharing easily accessible documentations of my reflections on both current and historical events.
